Wrong. Only if you buy the PS3 version do you get both. The PC version doesn't come with a blu-ray disc, so you can't play on the PS3. Also, there's a price difference.

***. that means its cheaper to get the pc version by buying the ps3 version since on amazon there's a $20 credit for PS3 version which makes it effective $35; but PC version is only $5 off making it $45. albeit, if you didnt need or want $20 amazon video game credit the deal is irrelevant.

Is there actually an official source that's confirmed that you get PC version w/ PS3 version? & if so, how do you get it? a steam code inside the case?

I don't have the source, but it has been confirmed that you get a free game code for Portal 2 in the case of the PS3 game. Gave Newell said it back at E3 I believe, but there's also a steam support page that explains how it works.

Not really. I wish there was support for both k/m and controller on the console. I also, don't see how that would "kill the platform". It will just simply enhance it by catering for both crowds.

How does my comment make me a fanboy? You can go and ask around why a lot of PC gamers don't game on consoles. They'll tell you it's the fact that, it's the lack of k/m support.

Unreal Tournament had mouse/keyboard support on the PS3 and look how well that spanned across other games...

I've been reading around and it seems that it's not a steam code; you have to link your PSN account to your STEAM account somehow.

I wonder if that means that the PS3 game becomes unplayable online when your steam game is active or vice versa. Would make the used game market really weird for it. Imagine someone linking it to their steam account then they trade it in or eBay it. and the person who has it next cant play online because the previous person is using it.

This is going to be interesting.

I'll just buy the PC version & be happy w/ it. Don't feel like linking my PSN & STEAM accounts.

Well, both are true actually.

Also you can't play coop between PS3 and PC with one copy. So I assume you can't play it online when the PC version is on.

But it doesn't work the same way in reverse. PCs do not lack controller support, if anything they have more controller support than consoles. You can use any controller you please.

The difference, and the reason why the keyboard and mouse are crucial and irrefutably superior in FPS games is because if you play an FPS game with a controller you're going to get owned on the PC. If they allowed the keyboard and mouse on consoles, it would immediately become heavily imbalanced unless they added a load of mouse lag.

Which would then render the mouse & K/b on consoles useless. Back to square one .
