Antec 300 Interior Matte Black Fun!

Just started on Overclock.net, have been an active modder/enthusiast since I was 12, now I'm 22... used to be active on bigfoot computers forum and toms...I had my trusty ghetto mods back when I was younger and then had an aluminum Chenming 1030 (Antec 1040 clone) from 03-06 then I bought a laptop and went off to university =O now I'm back, no more laptop.

So I have an Antec 300 waiting to order parts (i.e. when I get the money together) and I have some time on my hands, so I went ahead and sprayed the interior all matte black and cut out the fan grilles. I'm also in the process of putting a 140mm fan in the front 3x5.25 slots and keep the front mesh grille intact.

My goal is to keep it as stealth as possible, no LEDs or windows or whatever, just a nice, cool PC. I have 2x Yate Loon Black/Red Fans on order for the 2x120mm at the front so the only remote non-black item they will see are the red fan blades behind the mesh and front grille, no LEDs.

Here are some progress pics after the initial paint went down, one of the side panels (the side that no one will see I had to paint it gloss black because my matte black ran out.... oh well) The side panels are drying in the garage right now so we'll see how that turns out.

Excellent start. A buddy of mine has the 300 also, and after we showed it some love with a window and interior paint, it looked magnificent. Keep it up! Don't forget a couple coats of clear coat to make it last

Nice work so far like the ideas and love the Antec 300. I might buy one myself as a side project when funds gets better. Looking forward to seeing the end result nice to see something without a bunch of lights and such.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm pretty excited too. Picking up my YL 120's and a Thermalright X Silent 140 tomorrow. Going to do 7v molex adapter mod on the YL's so they spin around 900rpm.

Can't forget to throw some rubber fan grommets on the fans either!

Might have to go and hit the hardware store tomorrow for another can of matte black, not sure if the gloss black rear side panel will cut it.
