* MSI 560ti Benchmarks: 880/950/1000/1026mhz w/Heaven 2.1 & CoDMW2 *

i decided to do this, since my computer is getting random crash/reboots during mw2 gameplay. im assuming its because with my cpu and gpu both overclocked/volted, my mediocre psu cant handle it.

so i wanted to see how much of a difference overclocking really makes on my current application. hoping i could downclock and lower voltage and still get a solid fps... which could all change once i get a 2500k heart transplant.

again, for modern warfare 2, i used the intro scene of "the gulag".

core-----Frames---T(ms)---Min---Max---Avg
880mhz----7437---60000----71---187---123.95
950mhz----7788---60000----74---202---129.8
1000mhz---7981---60000----77---204---133.017
1026mhz---8602---60000----79---209---143.367

during all the mw2 testing, the max temp was with the 1026mhz oc at 55c.

Next i did some heaven 2.1 testing.

core-------fps/score
880mhz----46.1/1161
900mhz----47.8/1203
925mhz----48.9/1233
950mhz----50.0/1260
1000mhz---51.4/1294
1026mhz---51.2/1291

i noticed that the fps dropped a hair between 1000 and 1026mhz, probably means nothing considering the slight variances that will always happen. with my current setup, it seems that i hit a wall at 1000mhz. so i can only assume anything above that is meaningless.

Just curious, what is your memory clocked at? That average fps jump @ 1026 in MW2 is nice!

the memory was clocked at 2200mhz. i just upped it to 2300mhz, and now the same core clock produces a min/max/avg of 75/204/136.9

is that another test to test variance or does memory freq play just as big a role?

for now, i may as well run my card at the stock clock. at least with MW2, the difference between 120fps and 140fps doesnt matter. i only have a 60hz monitor.

im going to run the same benchmarks on dirt 2, since thats another game i frequent. although that game is harder on the card. with max settings and dx11 enabled, i peak in the 80's. so at a stock core clock, i might dip below 60fps.

right now i have it at 950/1900/2300@1.0v

i had the core at 1026mhz@1.07v, but i would get random system reboots during gameplay. im just assuming the instability is caused by an old inefficient psu.

Hmm it could be due to the beta 270.51 driv3rs im using...I cant seem to keep the dang card stable. I bought it open box, should i consider a RMA?
I wouldn't buy an open box GTX 560 TWII
Just tell yourself that the guy who opened the box tested that beast and got disappointed.
I would RMA.

:-/
Even more that they is a TWIII version now !

EDIT : I don't think there is a 560 version of TWIII, but still, open box = have been tested and refused.
