570 in i3 550

Thread Starter
hello.
my new build is coming and was wondering you guys and experts opinion about my build.

i got
processor: Core i3 550
motherboard: GA-h55m-s2h
memory: 4gb ddr3
videocard: asus engtx570
powersupply: 750w

my monitor is an LG 18 inch 1366x768 led

the thing is.
in gaming.. im worried about bottlenecking with my cpu and video card..

would this build slow down everything?

sadly i cant return or change my order, since its already shipped out.
and arriving in a few days.

if ever bottlenecking is inevitable
how can i prevent it from bottlenecking that much.
what if i just max out every settings in games..

or how would performance be with my build
in office
photoshop
low gaming
high gaming

High gaming? It'd be just fine, but you DO NOT need a 570 for that res, get a 460 768MB for that res, or get a 560 and upgrade the CPU. That 570 is so overkill it's not even funny.

Also not get a 570 as it's way overkill.

Overkill or not, it'll last him a while.

I approve of this build.

The i3 could be upgraded to a 2500k for the price he saved most likely, that will last him much longer. You shouldn't approve of a build that is a waste of money.

for sure there won't be any bottlenecking..try to test via MSI AB monitoring if the GPU is scaling around 90% load ingame..if it does then its clear that there is no bottlenecking around..if the card is scaling below the said range then its clear there is not enough Horse Power..

REerformance..relatively its a typical build and you should not worry with all you want to throw at it..given your Display LCD which tops on that reso gaming won't be a problem pooping with the 570 even with all HIGH settings ON and EYECANDY ON..

Even a single 460 768MB will do that for half the cost, and that way he can get a 2500k which will outlast that Dual-core by FAR!

Upgrading to that would require him to buy new parts even though he already stated that the parts were bought and are shipping.

He already stated that the parts are on its way..unless he changes his mind..it(570) won't be overkill if he will be on it for a year or two..if he wants to upgrade then he can leave the card alone or do SLI..
