hmm..

i hoped its only a few percentage..
like 50fps
No. What he means, like I said earlier, is that the GTX570 is essentially only doing "half the work", due to the resolution.

1600x900 =1,440,000px
1920x1200 =2,304,000px

There's a lot less pixels for that 570 to render. So in essence, it's being underworked.

on a 16x10 or 19x10 reso it's potential will shine more..because that's the reso this card was made for..

just making sure..

my problem isnt with the processor right?
it wont bottleneck.. and if ever there is. i could just oc it from 3.20ghz to 4ghz

my problem is with the display im using.
it needs to be at least 1080p

but i dont have enough budget for a 1080p
so id go for 1660x900.

with that.. the fps performance slow down would be bearable.

then if i go for 1080p monitor maybe in deecember..
then all is fine! right?
Bottlenecking depends on the game/app, resolution, motherboard, ....

Any cpu/gpu will be a bottleneck in the some situations. Dont worry about bottlenecking. Worry about minimum performance.

Decide how much minimum performance you want or need, and then choose hardware which guarantees enough minimum performance in the games or apps which you use.

Do you need a 1080p display? Only you can answer this question. Dont buy a new display because someone on this forum says you must buy a new display. Buy a new display, only if you want or need a new display.

well in gaming..
lets say.. the new ones out..
cod black ops, gta4, sc2, shogun2, dirt 3, battlefield3 ..

how would this build do?

for the monitor. in this situation.
id really need to buy one to prevent fps drop
1600x900

the guys in toms hardware said that the i3-550 wold bottleneck the gtx 570 even if i OC it.. ( i dont believe that guy )

if a 3.20ghz cpu can handle a gtx480.. then i think its thesame for gtx 570..
for all i know.. gtx 570 = gtx480

but they were thes ame on saying i should get higher resolution monitor

and thats what im doing.. - buy an 1660x900

edit: while looking at Partol's build

he has i3-530 and gtx 580
but have 1080p monitor

so if its okay. can i ask how are your games doing? / overall.
and if its not to hassle..

can you change your 'gaming resolution' to 1600x900
and check for me how would it go..

edit: checkd my budget.. it allows me to buy a 22inch 1680x1050 resolution lcd monitor..
too bad it aint led.. but would this be okay? for my build..

If you believe in the term "bottlenecking," then your monitor will definitely be your bottleneck.
