Look at the GPUz screenshot. It's running on 1408 shaders with a 6950 BIOS and stock clocks.

With v7?

PG also said that Core16 WUs wouldn't be available untila fter Client v7 was released. It seems they've decided to release both at the same time. Please be aware that this is still a core under development; this is not the final core
It's still in beta, so I wouldn't say that's impossible. Does it do it with core11 units?

Also: my 4890 could well have had issues. I'm not sure to this day. The fan went out on it and it got real warm once, but performance-wise it was fine. I figured a speck or two on the die hit plasticity or something and I just wasn't seeing the problem, except with the stress test. *shrugs*

The only way to do x16 clients, yes.

No, it doesn't with my 6950. I popped in a 8600GTS and did a core 11 unit and it failed instantly. Bumped the CPU voltage and now both work on x11 and x16 units.

Hmmm. Well I would definitely keep an eye on it, maybe consider gluing yourself to the gaming chair for 12 hours one night and see how it performs across several games. Make sure the warranty doesn't expire, but other than that, I'd trust it for now.

People knock on XFX for their service sometimes, but I've had good experiences with them and I like the peace of mind of not having to worry about things like this.

Yeah, I've done marathon sessions with this rig but the CPU always caused a crash

This is relevant how? The cards are all made in the same place, especially if they're reference. I've dealt firsthand with their customer service when I had a XFX GTX 260, I can vouch for the quality of their support.
