I got that when i came by for my pre-order and yet the chick walked RIGHT down the corner and picked the copy OFF the shelf and it was a Limited Edition copy. ***?

So basically i had to pay extra 5 bucks to just reserve it when i could have just walked in and bought it? Jeez. Best Buy may have a FEW things that is worth to buy but remind yourself one thing, they are rip offs. They overcharge things stupid. You can get it for HALF the price at Walmart or NewEgg compared what you have to pay at Best Buy. They are nothing but a greedy company. Isn't there a law on overcharging items when there is an actual retail?

I remember a couple of months ago i wanted to buy a WD Black 1TB hard drive and it was for like 119.00 or something but i checked their website and it was 89.99 and i had to show my cellphone to the clerk to prove them their best buy website charges that hard drive at that retail price since it was overcharged. She had to call the management and they had to honor it owned.

Wal-Mart is definitely not cheaper in most cases. And their employees(at least in all the ones I've been in) have no clue whats going on. Probably the worst when it comes to knowledge. And the reason in stores have highly prices products versus buying them online, is because of their return policy. Best Buy just might have the best when it comes to return policy. I know for a fact, just about anything in my department has a 30 day return policy(14 days with contracted item+tablets). As silly as this sounds, but someone can buy something, return it days later, rebuy it again, and repeat the process until they become ultimately bored with the item(or until whoever works there stops selling it to you lol). I think we can agree, the majority of this website, if not 100% of us are pretty knowledgeable and already know what we want. We do some research and then buy, right? Do our parents? Some, perhaps. It's more of a store for my father, who wants a solution, and for someone to tell them what that solution is, and being offered that solution. Most experienced shoppers know to say "no thank you" when asked if they need any assistance. I'm just saying, know where you're shopping at before getting into a raging frenzy.

Also, our Best Buy does midnight launch parties, and it's probably one of the smaller box stores in our district. Lots of Best Buys do that now. We did it for COD & WoW recently.

Also, going to Best Buy when the store is dead, is the best. You can sometimes play "Lets make a deal" with employees. Not to mentioned Best Buy will price match other physical stores. Not so much online stores.

Allow me to educate you...

You did not pay an extra $5 for your reserve. If you had your receipt with your reservation with you they deduct that $5 at checkout.

and the reason for the HDD is because there are two forms of pricing. Local and National. the website shows national price where locally the prices are different. ever notice how food or gas costs more in different places of the US? and yes we do honor the website prices.

Honestly if my local BBs cleaned up their act and behave the way a lot of you guys are talking about, this could be pretty cool... but as it is, no way in hell am I going to step into that shop without a very good specific reason to do so.

And yes I do realize they cater to the consoles as does everyone else these days, but what exactly is your point? Yes I mentioned Diablo 1 which is mostly considered a pc game, but its for ps1 as well and my BB stocks both... if you catch my drift

So that leaves you with a great selection of 5 games. All at launch price despite being like 2 years old and not particularly good games to begin with.

But I do know what you mean... the local BB USED to be fun to browse games at... Heck I picked up my favorite game of all time just on impulse there, but thats no longer the case.
Hmmm, yeah, that's completely the opposite of the BB in my area. It has an entire row dedicated to PC games, and another row dedicated to PC software (non-games). Always a great selection, always has the latest n greatest games for sale (usually $10 lower than any other retailer in the area), and usually has a few bargin-bin games at bargain-bin clearance prices, which is fun.

Guys, this clearly isn't for PC gamers. A lot of console gamers go to Best Buy to buy games. I'm a PC guy, but if you reread the posts in this thread, you can clearly see why console gamers don't like us. Everybody acts like we're the only people that stores should be targeting -_- .

So yeah I think we have a right to bash on pretty much every BB in my area, likely every BB aside from the one you work at apparently.

that sounds awesome... where is this? or can a youtube video be posted??

as for dedicated gaming staff in best buys?

whilst hiring a bunch of console gaming nerds does sound like a good idea(gets them out of their basements, into fresh air interacting with actual people) did bestbuy remember to factor in the cost of installing showers into their stores? Nothing clears out a store faster than an unwashed 17yr old
