Questions regarding my planned PC build.

Thread Starter
Is my PSU enough for my rig? (Not planning to overclock at all)
After I plugged the PSU will the PSU be noisy?Because I've heard that sometimes when we are using a lot of wattage then the PSU fan will be very noisy.

Intel i5-2500K 3.30Ghz
Mobo: Asrock P67 Pro3
RAM:Team Elite DDR3 2x2GB 1333mhz
GPU:HIS HD6950 2GB DDR5
PSU:Seasonic S12II Bronze 520w
ODVD+RW Drive
Sound:Creative Sound Blaster Audigy
HDD:Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 16mb

Thanks in Advance.

If it's a Seasonic, no chance. Seasonics are probably THE best PSU's out there.
Should be fine, at least bareable.

It'll be 100% fine in every way. AMD recommends a 500W power supply to power a system with a single 6950 in it (source), except they are talking about power supplies with a 500W peak rating while the 520W S12II has a 520W continuous rating.

In other words, there's more than enough power and it should also be relatively silent.

No, no, no, please, no. Newegg's tool is AWFUL.
Just use http://www.extreme.outervision.com/p...ulatorlite.jsp if you must use a calculator. But even that one exaggerates things a bit.

I find that most of those online calculators exaggerates a lot.

A decent 500W or 550W PSU should do it.
