I guess its okay if you are still around that age tho.

Lol, so you judge people by what mouse they use? That's pretty lame. I did have a bad mouse (two actually), and the replacement didn't like my mouse pad. But since switching to a cloth pad it has been working great. No complaints at all. Although the Z-axis is still not perfect, it has caused me a grand total of zero problems.

As the saying goes, it's a poor craftsman who blames his tools.

You're not alone. The RAT 7 is damn horrible considering it's supposed to be customizable.

If you are a 5'6" gamer from Seoul this mouse may work for you. God forbid your hands are any bigger and you'll find this move too uncomfortable to use.

Thumb rest:
Adjustable the wrong way... I want to push it more in, not out!

Pinky rest:
It is not flat, the piece curves upwards. Thus if your pinky is larger than average, you cannot use it

Palm rest:
Rides up way too high. Good mice are designed like a hill. The middle is highest and the front/back dip down. The RAT is designed so the front is lowest, middle is middle, and the back is highest. It's unergonomic.

Precision button:
In order to position yourself to press it, you'll have put so much effort into angling your hand right and pressing down the button fully that the advantage it provides (tighter aim in combat situation) is outweighed by the effort it requires to pull off.

Thumb button layout:
I found it impossible to adjust the mouse so all 3 buttons were clickable. At best I could get it so the middle button was in good position to press and the back button could be hit too if stretching the thumb uncomfortably. At no point was it possible to hit all 3 buttons while holding the mouse in the same position, even when stretching beyond comfort!

Side scroller:
Yeah, that isn't a scroller. It's just for show (and annoyance).

Mouse wheel:
Positioned too high. When holding the mouse properly (that is so my thumb is aligned correctly on the thumb rest) I'd be lucky to be able to claim I can even reach the middle of the scroll wheel. And I have long fingers...

Lack of buttons:
At over $100, I expect there to be more than 2 additional buttons.

Don't lie to use:
At over $100, I expect there to be 5 additional buttons when they say 5 additional buttons. Instead 1 of those buttons is locked for precision aiming, and 2 are locked for changing the speed of the mouse pointer. So we are left with 2 programmable buttons... not enough for GAMING if you ask me.

The result of this (especially due the last point): I'll be returning this mouse for full refund.

I got a RAT 5 and I must say is not as comfortable as I thought.
Plus, the button placement and required pressure is pretty odd considering the strength you have to apply with your thumb makes you lose precision.

The mouse is not perfect but I like a lot the customizable length (length is a pretty critical issue for me).

Besides that, the sensor is quite good, a PTE with almost completely fixed Z-axis issue that tracks on cloth like LED sensors. I like this one much better than the avago 9500.
