The original was my favorite, and by far. I'm only liking this game more and more as I play it. There's a video on YouTube called Crysis vs Call of Duty 4 or something from back when the two games came out, and despite the name of the video, it's not really so much of a straight up comparison as it does explain all of the things there are in Crysis, and I agree with what he says at the end that says something along the lines of "how you play Crysis impacts on if you'll like it or not", because it's a sandbox, not fully or literally, but in the sense that the game gives you the ingredients, and you decide what to make of it, so when the game is called a sandbox, and someone says "it's linear and masked to look that way with big worlds", the sandbox label doesn't just apply to the big levels.

I love the open world and sandbox play. I love the visuals. The story was a bit cliche and it fell apart some at the end gameplay-wise, but it was great overall. It was a perfect "Far Cry two-point-oh" save for not being Far Cry in name and story.

I liked Warhead, but it was a bit more focused on action (not a bad thing) and less on the full of what Crysis was, so if anything, it's a fair mix of Crysis and Crysis 2 (mix of open world versus action/linearity), obviously being more like Crysis though.

I didn't buy or play Crysis 2 fully, but I've seen videos, tried the demo, etc., etc., and from what it is, regardless of not buying it just to confirm it won't be what I know I want/like, I can say it's pretty much just another generic (and console) shooter now. To give it credit, it does seem better than most or perhaps all of the other generic ones, but it's not Crysis to me anymore, so I passed, and from what I've seen, it's both not for me or to my liking. It's an above average generic shooter, so take that how you will.

Aww, I really liked Nomad. Psycho was definitely more humor yet tough type, and Nomad wasn't overwhelming with emotion, but I liked him.

That's another thing I disliked about the second, how Psycho and Nomad and Helena go back to the island in the dramatic and exciting fashion, and then, yay, a new guy (so the console crowd can jump and go). The trailer about Psycho introduces and explains Alcatraz as he'd be much of what Nomad felt like, not in personality but in form, but I'd still rather they stuck with Nomad. Since Nomad went back to the island at the end of the first where Prophet was, yet...
Prophet dies in the second (at least I think he does)
...we can assume the third won't be Nomad and Psycho on the island. There could still be hope for maybe a spin-off to cover it, ala Warhead style, but probably not since the consoles wouldn't be able to handle the island like that. So, the story got jumbled up too (along with other things), not just the characters.

Gah, see, it's all the things they changed up that I didn't like. Crysis should've remained Crysis. Crysis 2 should've been a spin-off series in the Crysis universe, even if it was canon. At least we'd still have Crysis 2 be what it should have (in my opinion) been.

I actually have played it TYVM
ignorance must be bliss for you eh?
I Havnt completed it, as I said, because I think its horrible. In fact my friend and I were both playing it and chatting on skype the whole time talking about how god-awful it is, how many plot holes and inconsistencies there are, how much bad AI there is, how many instances there are in general where the game has become worse than its predecessors...

We were both forcing ourselves to play because of the mindless hordes of people like yourself who praise everything about it and tell us that we must surely have not played it, or not played it enough, or must have bad computers, or some such utter crap.

Well he finished the game today. I've gotten to the point where I'm punching alien towers like an idiot while their airships float around above me somehow ignorant to the fact that I am "interfacing with and sabotaging their towers" by killing all their soldiers below. It still sucks.

And no, theres nothing wrong with my computer. I'm just not as easily distracted by overabundance of bloom and poorly effected motion blur as some of us.

I preordered the limited edition of this game too, way back, with high hopes based on Crysis and Warhead. Want a photo of the shiny box to sooth your fears that I'm lying? Would that shut you up and get you to admit that while it may be a good console game is a ****ty sequel on PC and that people actually expecting CRYSIS 2 might be a bit dissapointed to put in the game and find its really crysis 0.35 ported to xbox and then emmulated on pc?

Some people... and they think IM opinionated.
