Did you hear about the study where people suffered serious physical withdraws after being taken 'off line' ?
Seriously? I would bet a lot of money it's way more in depth then just "taking away the internet." Internet is now a "way of life" and taking it away is more then just taking away an addiction. It's a technology changing way of live. Say like, taking away electricity.

It takes time for people to adapt, of course they may suffer some sort of withdrawal. But to insist this is related to the internet itself is foolhardy at best.

Sticking you head in the sand with 'funny friends' (people who are always trying to be 'funny', usually have something to hide or are just as depressed) or a lame sitcom will not solve anything. For most, its why they are in the negative state they're in ! lol .. Reality is the best medicine.

It would be interesting to see a study where they compare the daily average of time spent in front of TV/computer screen and suicide rates, going back to the 1900's.

From what I remember, these people were taken completely offline. No cell, internet ect... and some/many showed symptoms after less than a day. I will post a link once I find it.

The internet should be there to moderately enhance our lives, NOT be the 'way'.

You want funny ? You should see some of the reactions I get when I tell people my home is 'cell phone free', and that they are to be turned off before they enter my home. hahah

The internet shouldnt be anything, it's meant to be a way to communicate and improve things . There's nothing right or wrong with being on it for a long time every day.

Uhm.. usually the people who are on the computer a lot are on the computer a lot because they have nothing better to do, are fat, are not accepted by society for whatever reason, THIS is what would cause them to be suicidal, NOT being on the damn computer these idiotic studies need to stop.

Rude? yes. Low blood sugar? yes.

I apologize if someone finds this offensive.

Edit:
Thanks for the quality post below this./sarcasm
