King of Air Cooling

Hello, just a quick question regarding which case is best for air cooling? I'm stuck between the

HAF X - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119225&cm_re=haf_x-_-11-119-225-_-Product

and

HAF 932 Advanced - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119160

I also know that the NZXT Phantom is up there but I've seen posts regarding the Noctua NH-D14 heatsink touching one of the top fans in the case. I also really like the look of the Corsair 650D but apparently the air cooling is bad so I take that back. Anyways, getting a bit off track here, what is the best air cooling case? confused.gif

Thanks for the help in advanced!

Best air cooling case = Silverstone Fortress FT-02! 90 degree rotation - triple 180mm fans with positive air pressure!

I don't know where you got this from, but my testing shows it to be pretty good actually. It's not designed to be the world's best aircooling case, though, so if that's your only concern then there are better solutions.

Why do you say HAF X when you're using the 932? Just curious.

You can grab the RV02-E, it's the same thing internally as FT02 but much cheaper.

Main differences are lack of aluminum/steel unibody case and pre installed sound foam.

Can save a couple of bucks by going with the black version:

I'm not the biggest fan of the Raven's aesthetics but I much prefer it over the Haf. The Raven has the incredible stock air cooling capabilities as well.

*edit*

I just realized that I linked the older version of the RV02 with the older fans (non-Penetrator) and only 3 HDD mounts.

Here is the newer version at $179:

If you want BIG cases, the HAF X and 932 will do the job, silverstones are also huge.

but not that I'm biased but I did quite a good research, take a look to the HAF 912-Advanced or the new Coolermaster Enforcer, medium sized case that can fit almost ANYTHING you can think of a ATX case can fit, good cooling and processor is very close to the 2 exhaust fans (one 200mm in top and rear 120mm) so hot air is directly sucked out of the case, with a good 200mm intake in the front and an option to place a 140mm in the side pannel.

Medium sized tower + good air cooling + great looks = WIN.
