AGP Gaming Video Card Questions

Thread Starter
Hi, so I've been deciding on a new graphics card to buy, I'm currently using a Nvidia Ge Force 6800 gt, and with some quick info: it has 256 mb, 256-bit, and been used for a good 4-5 years.
It's starting to take a toll on my game play, so while looking at new graphics cards, (so few AGP cards nowadays), I notice most of the new AGP cards are marked at 128-bit instead of 256-bit, my concern is that I'll be spending money on a graphics card to only have the same output in video cards.

The one I'm looking at is the HIS IceQ H4670, which is about 105$ on newegg(after rebate), though if anyone could answer if the difference between 128-bit and 256-bit makes much of a difference, and if there are any current AGP cards better than the IceQ 4670, that would be much obliged and appreciative.

P.S.
I'm looking for about 1g of memory on the graphics card if you care to link any that you suggest worth buying.

Thanks,
A younglin' for the computer generation

I wouldn't waste my money on something that is dead...

You'd be better off upgrading all of the other crap on your PC.

4670 is probably as good as it gets for AGP but not going to notice a big difference since:

1) Your platform is really dated by now
2) AGP lack of bandwidth (About the same amount as running PCI-E 2.0 4x, except only half duplex)

^ this. AGP is an upgrade dead end. If you upgrade to the HD 4670, it's pretty much the best AGP card you can get, but by today's standards it is a weak card (I would know, had two in crossfire). In order to get decent frame rates I would need to turn the settings down to med/low in quite a few games.

This computer will be downgrading to a siblings, so I'm trying to keep it functioning until he can secure enough money himself to purchase a new computer, but I also wish to know how much better the IceQ 4670 is compared to my current Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT.

Not looking to replace the computer or buy a used computer, looking to upgrade the video card and that's all, I already understand this computer is older than most and it "would" be better to upgrade but at the moment, I'm just looking for a new video card.

HD3850 is the best agp card with 256bit iirc.

What's your processor? If it's something like an Athlon 64 X2, it might be alright.
If it's a Pentium 4, then don't bother. The bottleneck will suck.

*Note,
Driver support for the AGP cards isn't that great, because it isn't mainstream anymore.
