Trying to squeeze my fx-62

Thread Starter
So I recently had my mobo fried and had an older one laying around with an athlon 64 fx-62 dual core at 2.81 ghz in it. I've not done any overclocking in quite some time.

I was wondering what more can I get out of this thing if anything and what settings should I go to to achieve it? Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm having a hard time running my games now and anything I can do within reason (I don't want to fry this thing up) to help my situation would be great!

I have a 700w psu and cooling is fairly good. Air not water but still fairly good.

I would estimate that you should be able to get over 3ghz at least. Don't take my word for it, I know nothing about that chip.

Yeah I was thinking that'd be a good starting point at least. I don't even remember what to do anymore. Do I need to mess with voltages or anything? Or just go into the bios and set it to 3 and then done?
