Does undervolting still kill these chips?

Thread Starter
I know some of the earlier A64s smoked when the vcore was undervolted because the delta between the CPU memory controllers and the RAM was too high, was that isolated to K8s or is it in K10s too?

My CPU is at 1.275v, my CPUNB is at 1v, and my RAM is at 1.65v, that okay?

Cheers

undervolting will not kill chips but will cause your system to be unstable if enough voltage isnt supplied to your cpu thus leading to BSODs

This is what I thought as long as it is fully stable you OK however I am a Intel guy and wasn't sure if AMD was different.

I wouldnt call that stable run it at least 12 hours and maybe run linx/linpack to be sure and maybe some gaming on top of that.

Ok cool thanks i'll go play some Fallout 3 and GTA IV
If its stable ill try and get an even lower VCore.
These guys got it down to 1.24v http://www.anandtech.com/show/2821

Been running my chip with 1.15v for the past month on 24/7 and it's still here so i guess it's safe....if anything i would say it would increase the life of the chip...less voltage through it...less heat.

Exactly how i though :S But your chip is probably running much lower since you only have 2 cores running? if it is unlocked then Nice

Yeah, when I run at stock I use 1.17v and its been completely stable and yet to show any degradation.
