Heya lichking. Nice effort mate. Is that rig using the TEC controller you were talking to me about in the other thread? The one that would support 60A output?
Can you do a few load tests using OCCT for us all? OCCT is good because it will log everything while performing the tests, including temps. If you could also record your TEC temps during the tests that would be great.
As I mentioned in the other thread, for TECs to be suitable 24/7 we need a decent controller, one that will keep the cold temps to what is set ie. within +/-1C would be perfect, but a few degrees would be better then no control.
It would be great to see the test logs from OCCT and the temp results from your TEC controller to see how well it perfoms. I'm not too fussed on the actual TEC chiller performance, as much as I am the TEC controller's performance.
Basically the TECs in the TEC chiller can always be changed to reach a suitable temp, but the TEC controller is the brains and if it can't keep everything at or very near the set temp, then it is of no use (to be blunt).
Also, can you elaborate on how you have everything connected - what PSU for the TECs, how are they wired (S/P) and how does your TEC controller fit into the setup?
