No keep the 6970 in, just turn the fan up on it though. 40%-60%. How long until you get all the parts for your sig rig?

In MSI Afterburner at the bottom. Move the slider anywhere from 45-60%. My 6870 is at 55% and my card stays at 37 degrees celcius.

i would personally return those and go for a 6970 from sapphire or asus... sapphire 6970 get the black one with the lock you will run 30s on idle and 60-70 on load... cant beat that (lower temps longer life and better overclock) RMA those hot sons of guns.. get what your money deserves... QUALITY.

Could it be that my whole computer is just a big bottleneck? I put that in a 5 year old system. the whole system blows. minus that.

Well... yes.

Your running a top tier card on what, an older dual core? There is no way your system can handle the information coming from your card.

It's fine though. you wont see the total benefit untill you upgrade the cpu.

use this site to measure your system specs against what your going to upgrade to.
