Motherboard freezing at Post

Thread Starter
I recently purchased an Intel BOXD945PLNML for an HTPC. For some reason it refuses to boot. Everything posts however.

It freezes with 5A in the bottom if I have anything plugged into the Sata ports on the board. How do I fix this?!?!?!

I reset bios but it didn't work. If I use my external HDD I can boot from there, but it refuses to boot from anything attached to Sata. =P

I fixed that problem. I can use the PCI-Express slot or else it causes the motherboard to stay on post.

New problem:
I can't boot into Windows. Every time it starts to load the computer restarts.

Please help if you can!

Using 2x512mb Hynix DDR2 667 RAM, Pentium D 820, and a Rocketfish Gaming 500 watt PSU. I used Google to try to resolve the issue and can't find a cure. I saw that many others had trouble with this.

Thanks for reading,

- Matt

Nevermind, I got it....

Just destroyed the new GT 240 I bought. =P

EDIT:

Just ripped the lock system out of my mother board. Seems as though I'll avoid that problem in the future.
