Will Crytek respond to BF3?

Thread Starter
Hey guys i was just thinking and i thought why not post it here. Now we all can safely say that Crysis 2 failed to bring the beauty to a 2011 game. Now from what we can see so far, battlefield 3 is waiting to pounce and take the crown from Crytek and their original Crysis game.

Now my question is this, will Crytek respond in turn when they release Crysis 3? Will they make Crysis 3 for PC's first and consoles second?....I think they took a gamble and made Crysis 2 for consoles and "forgot" their roots, which is to make a visual masterpiece.

Just judging from the Fault Line and more recent My Life trailers, it looks like BF3 will take the graphics crown.

What do you guys think? Will Crytek have to respond and redeem themselves or just be known as the people who made Crysis 1.

Personally, after the train wreak that crysis 2 is, with all the bugs, with the lack of utilisation of computer hardware, with the COMPLETE butchering of the story line, I hope they don't release another game.

Incidently, I managed to get to a certain point in the game before it started crashing EVERYTIME I got to that point, even after a rebuild. So I might be a bit biased.

They did make a visual masterpiece, may not have pushed the envelope but easily one of the best looking games yet.

Sorry but crysis 2 is the biggest PoS I have ever seen. And the ones responding to bf3 will be iw/treyarch. But nothing will beat the first two crysis *sigh* But I don't blame them, consoles give more profit and there is almost no piracy. I miss Crysis Warhead.

Not really, go look at Arcania: Gothic 4 then you'll see a game that pushed today's hardware and was absolutely stunning.

I think....yeah, they may release a graphically superior game, but the question is, will it be better?

The original Crysis, imo, couldn't touch Battlefield.

Dislike the game all you want but it is in no way the "biggest PoS" ever. You just lose credibility when making such extreme statements.

Aside from some low res textures and inferior water and vegetation(doesn't matter nearly as much in a city as on a tropical island) the game is arguably better looking then the first in every other aspect.

Actually i'm inclined to agree to a certain extent, I dislike some of the changes they made to the mechanics of the game. I hate that I can't modify the advanced graphics without using a 3rd party application. It was just a sloppy job

Joke post? Arcania wasn't that great looking. It had good lighting effects, but everything else looked like crap.

I would not say Crysis 2 was utter crap...but i mean...fire a few bullets and look at the shells....they do look like shixx...A little more detail would have been nice.
