Can't beat his argument? Call him a troll, works every time. Cryengine3 allows them to build 1 game and scale it accordingly to each system. None of the versions of the games are ports by the very definition of the word.

You haven't even played the game, how can you even being to think you can give a worthwhile opinion on this? It is astounding how many people jump on bandwagons on this site. Use your brains and think for yourselves.

If you believe otherwise then you are highly uneducated on the matter and seeing delusions of grandeur.
My entire point about the engine is the way they are able to scale the game to each individual system from one base game rather then making the game individually for each system. That is literally one of their main selling point of the engine. None of the versions are ports by the very definition of the word.

It's not a moot point whatsoever. One of the main complaints about the game is lack of advanced graphics options. The absolute best part of all of it is the fact that anyone who really played the originals had a custom config so they didn't even use the advanced settings in menus anyway. If anything the argument against the game because it lacks advanced graphics options in the menu is the moot point.

Oh that's nice. I must be a shill because I am giving a positive outlook on a good game while showing people why their arguments that were being thrown around months before the game even came out are wrong.

I got a better question..

Why do you care so much about what a salesman has to say?

Here make a new thread called "Will Adobe respond to BP OIL?"

.......Exactly...

Now my question is this, will Crytek respond in turn when they release Crysis 3? Will they make Crysis 3 for PC's first and consoles second?....I think they took a gamble and made Crysis 2 for consoles and "forgot" their roots, which is to make a visual masterpiece.

Just judging from the Fault Line and more recent My Life trailers, it looks like BF3 will take the graphics crown.

What do you guys think? Will Crytek have to respond and redeem themselves or just be known as the people who made Crysis 1.
I can safely say you couldn't be more wrong! Crysis 2 is gorgeous! And better looking than the original. (mods don't count) And Crysis 2 in the night time levels looks stunning!

Thread Starter
I'm not saying that the graphics are utter crap, but we as PC gamers want to see more attention to detail. Instead of forwards Crytek kinda stayed where they are, now look at the progression of BF to BFBC 2 and now BF3...that's all i'm saying, crytek should have jumped forward not take 2 steps forward and 1 back. Maybe it's not their fault though, with the original crysis they had some big shoes to fill...but hey maybe they were just trying a new route....as a company and as a business i can understand why they did it...you gotta evolve or die right.

Personally i hope BF3 is good. after buying Medal of Fail, $60 via steam.....
and was completely disappointed. no patch so i can use my controller >< i waited months..

and after buying crysis 2 which is a fart in the wind compared to crysis one and warhead. i played both. liked both. even liked the multiplayer ( lovin dem nukes ) but crysis 2 ive had sense launch and haven't even got through the first level. its just boring the shooting is meh.
