Amd hd 6950 - Page 2

My 6950 whines, and so did my 4870X2's. No harm came from it.
Maybe you could add some sound dampening to the case to make it less noticeable.

You might wanna check your psu if it does it on both sets of cards, it points to the psu. Hot glue gun can fix it right up.

He's not the only one.

Again, if you can put your ear next to it, and listen that it's coming directly from the card, then it's the card.

That's a very reliable PSU.

If you can hear the buzzing directly from the card, then it's the card.

Great you linked a bunch of ppl that deduced it wrong. Hell I even posted in one of them, giving my experience that IT WAS NOT THE VIDEO CARD.

My 6950 whines when it's at very high frames per second. Reference.

So you are wrong.

My Sapphire 6950 squeals like a whiny *****. I guarantee you it's not the power supply. The pitch of the squeal gets higher when the framerate of whatever game I'm playing gets higher.

I'm not going to pretend like I know the exact cause of the squeal, but like I said, I'm 100% sure it's not the power supply.

Please explain to the other users why you are right, despite their personal experience with the card that have such "Buzzing?"
