Mass effect 2

Hey guys, its a bit complicated story here..

I had ME2 installed on win7 64-bit.
I have 2 HDD's in my pc , one 500gb and other 40gb.
The 40gb is old and working good while the 500gb is new and was giving problems while booting up.
Earlier when the pc got off without shutdown, it wud not be detected in the BIOS, while after waiting for 1,2 or sometimes 4 hours , i wud get detected.

This problem grew 2 days ago, when it didnt get detected on normal shutdown.

My win 7 was installed on 40gb hdd, but due to something the boot files were on the 500gb hdd, so the pc wasnt booting.
I thought to remove the win 7 and installed win xp home edition on 40gb.

I forgot abt the save files of ME 2, and all those got formatted.
I dont wanna start the game the frm start, so i dloaded recovery softwares.

I tried 2 such softs, both of them brought my save back, but when i put those saves in my bioware folder, an error occurs and everything crashes.

I wanted to ask if this is becoz i saved on a 64 bit os , and now i m trying to retrieve it on 32 bit os, or its any other problem.

PLease help i wann play my saved ME2.

32/64 doesn't matter.

Are you saying that when you copy the files it crashes? Or when you run the game and try to import?

logic says that your old save file wasn't properly recovered, if the save editor is showing errors

That's what he's saying, yep.

It sucks but a recovery isn't foolproof. Gotta back up your stuff man .

Try Stellar Phoenix NTFS recovery it's almost always worked for me. You'll probably have to re-install your OS'es. I'd also run a check disk.
