If you have no success at 1600MHz DDR3 speeds, maybe you should try to tighten mem timings at 1333? 8-8-8-24?

yeah I thought about that too but then I would've gotten a 1333 set at a much lower costs. Gah.. I'm thinking of contacting newegg and see if they can resolve the problem. Oh and XMP is supposedly available on both mobo and ram according to their specs but I can't find the option to enable it

You should be able to run 400 FSB with 1.5 vcore. Keep the memory at 1:1

I think you need to do a remount of the 212 your temps should not be that high also.

Have you adjusted any of the other voltages such as NB, SB, VTT, GTL?

To answer an earlier question, regarding a Q6600 being a bottle neck at 3Ghz... no it is not, and I would be surprised if you can't hit 3.5 with the chip

Btw I don't think you will see that big a difference between 1600 and 1300, I did whack a friends higher speed RAM in my board when I purchased the kit and it was no different gaming wise, so I think it will depend more on what you are doing.

Btw I would watch your temps carefully, you have some pretty warm kit there, and thats quite a small case to fit it in

Do you have the TjMax set properly in CoreTemp. Should be 90c to set this go and look for adjust offset under advance options I think. Set the value to -10

I tried to do it with 1.5 vcore but thing gets really hot and I crashed once while testing under prime 95. Hmm, it is going to be hell of a work to reamount the CPU cooler but i will think about that if I were to go any higher, but at this time im maxing out at 66C after 7 hrs+ testing with prime95 and it idles around 37~ using 1.35vcore
