what virus is it flagging all the time? Can you post the exact message it gave you? Was it something about a iframe?

It only happens when it wants to update. Its not flagging a virus but blocks chrome canary's update file "setup.exe" from running due to "suspicious activity" and it being too new and having very few users. Although eventually google changes something on their side and Norton doesn't have a problem updating then...

i haven't used anti virus for years. I'm pretty sure you wont get anything if you don't open suspious files or go to bad websites.

This does not protect you from going to known good websites that have been hacked or hijacked by bad ads with malware. With free Microsoft Security Essentials, there is not really an excuse for not running AV.
