Well because rapists don't have 30,000 pounds in their checking account that you can seize. This is just taxes.
Ho hum. Illegal operation going on. Let's let it continue for a year or two. Then once people have "confidence" in it and there are big deposits. We'll seize it.
Same thing with drug operations. Let's let this drug operation get big. Let the dealers horde up a store of cash, let the customers rob the local community blind of every hub cap, car stereo, and dvd player. Let it all build up to a nice big pot and then we go take it.
It's just a cyclical taxing scam. Instead of directly taxing people of their vcr hubcaps and car stereo. You are getting criminals to do it for you.

Same thing with EU fines. Ho hum we are looking the other way. Let the panel makers price fix. Let them overcharge. Collect up a bunch of profits. Then bam. Fees and penalties and fines.
It's not law enforcement at all. It's simply a taxing cycle.
They are not seizing the web sites illegal accounts and monies. They are seizing the people who went to them and figured there was nothing wrong with it so they finally open accounts put money into it and then all of sudden it's "wrong".
Did the EU send you a check for being defrauded from a price fixed panel? NO. They kept the money. It's a justice system with no justice. Just a never ending supply of victims and fishy taxation process. It's just system to make seizure and theft appear to have some legal or collective benefit.

mmm bank accounts across 14 countries.... and the ban is being argued at the WTO as being unfair. I would be interested to hear a) what 14 countries hold these acc'ts, and b) what treaty's the USA has with them. The only people who's money may be toast is Americans, as some of these other countries may be countries that brought about the WTO charge (*).

* Yes, I know the USA gives a middle finger to any WTO rulings against them... but it'll still hold a large precedent if the ban is considered illegal. It's also interesting the way the ban was brought about it - its almost identical to the way that Grey Wolves are going to be killed off in the Western States(again).

Politics (from Greek πολιτικός, is a process by which groups of people make collective decisions

Sir, you fail.

Politics is everywhere, in fact the very idea of a forum is supportive of politics.

By this logic, you are hating Overclock.net for being a forum, and not say a single blank webpage.

Let's say you mean Governmental politics, well then the thread would eventually come to this conclusion, what would we talk about?

There is a thread, that is about the government, where as people have many opinions on, and you would have them not speak them. This very thread acts as a gateway to expressing those opinions, and we cannot speak of them.

It's like the rules state "You can make a thread called "Jews are evil." but people are not allowed to talk about what the person said, or the absence of login within it."

We are speaking on topic, we have not ruined this thread, we are simply prolonging it's life with the on topic opinions of it's content, If you wish for me to put it simply we are stuck in a loophole, where if we comment, we can't go offtopic, which is against the rules, and we can't go on topic.

We made the concious decision as a forum to speak our opinions on topic. In fact you would never have seen this thread if we had not shared our opinions.

In other words, we are stuck in Catch 22.

Wow I used to play the free "fun" money version of Pokerstars, like 2 or 3 years ago, and I think my dad used to play very little money like 5 dollars, and low stakes stuff.
