Cooling a GTX275 FROZR OC SLI setup

Thread Starter
I put together a new system

specs:
Core i7 950
ASUS Rampage II Extreme
4gigs of lowbudget memory for now (2x2 ddr3-1333)
2 MSI GTX275 FROZR OC in SLI
Coolermaster CM690
Coolermaster Silent Pro 1000

but the problem i got is when i am playing a game the top card is reaching temps of almost 100c!!! I do not have anything overclocked (jet ). When temps are above 70c a 75c, the fans start turning at 4600 rpm (100%) and that is way to loud, and is very anoing when you are gaming..

the bottom card is never reaching temp over 60c.

I can't place the bottom card in the lowest PCI-E 16x slot becase my case is nog big enough...

I have a fan blowing towards the cards, but did doesn't have much effect..

does anybody have a (cheap) idea to cool the top card beter so that it doesn't go so loud and stays cool(er)??

around 50% the cards turn at around 3000RPM, witch is quit enough for me

(PS sorry for my bad english, it's not my main language)

if the card is setup in a slinge gpu configuration that the card has no heat problem. but because the cards hang so close together. that the top card can't get much cold air, because the bottom card is hanging right under it.

So i am looking for solutions that don't make that much noise...

card is bought 2nd hand and is 2y old, and RMA is not an option because the card runs fine in a single gpu configuration...

il try to take a picture in a minute.

but i cant swap the cards around because one card has larger screws... en if that card is on the bottom, the screws hit the fans of the top card..

holy mother!
tidy up the cable and temps will drop with 30C!

EDIT:
why do you have so many hard drives?
they block all the airflow from the front main fan

if you remove the hard drive cage temps will drop massively too

EDIT2: replace TIM on your graphics cards

The cables at the PSU look messey but those are between the PSU and the sidepanel.

I can't do the cables any better, i can't find a way to do them much better than they are now..

i ques i need to look to another case, with better cable-management functions..

can you guys recommend me a good case?

(i need that much drives because i have that much data)
