GTX 570 OC WINDFORCE 3x

Thread Starter
I've been having problems with my gtx 570 oc with every game. The games crash everytime i play them. But if I downclock the core to 732mhz (instead of 780mhz) everything is ok. So what should I do to keep the core at 780mhz or more?

Is 780MHz the stock frequency?.. Perhaps you need to raise voltage a bit. If however 780 is the stock frequency, I would RMA it if I were you. =)

Yes, 780mhz is the stock frequency. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to raise the voltage because it's the Gigabyte Overclocked version, it's the reference design with 6 phase VRM.

Gigabyte's OC line isn't reference

Just RMA it, if it isn't stable at 780 (it's stock speed) then the card is bad. Don't get another model though, this one is good (better than the reference GTX 570 which doesn't do too well with additional voltage).

So you say that I dont have to change it for a different model. Isn't the ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II better because it has 8 phase VRMs. (sorry for my bad english)
Thank you for the reply.

It can be debatable whether it's better. Price is one factor. That is also a triple-slot card and if your next card happens to overclock better then yours would be the better card. Well it's fine anyway. If the DCII is only a bit more ($10 for example) then you could change it but it is triple slot which may cause problems if you ever want to SLI on air.

Sounds logical. So I see your handle says "Strelok" ... does this mean you're a STALKER fan?

BTW, welcome to OCN You should fill in your system specs in the 'UserCP' so that people can give you advice based on your exact system.

You likely got a bad card, since it's crashing at stock (for that card).

And yes fill out your system specs so we can help better next time =)
