I am so done with primochill tubing

Thread Starter
The last 3 rebuilds I have done using primochill tubing, after 1 month of use the damn thing twists and kinks itself. The only way to fit the problem is replacing the tubing.

Whats another good brand of tubing that comes in colors?

Feser tubing is quite good, and it comes in a variety of colours.

There's Tygon Silver Antimicrobial...probably what I'll be buying for my next rebuild:

I have clear primochill tubing and it's kind of discolored.. I probably won't be switching for a long while unless it gets any worse, so that gives me plenty of time to read other peoples' tubing experiences

I use Solid White XSPC PVC tubing, feels quality and I've had no problems.

I just use Tygon clear R-3603...I think Tygon also comes in black apart from silver. Not much color choice but it is easy to work with.

Don't say I didn't warn you that those are much stiffer than what most are used to.

I bought it once and even for my 1/4" ID, 3/8" OD loop, they were far too stiff.

Bad idea. Those will leach their plasticiser. Possibly cause gunking too. I recommend B-44-X or B-44-3.

When you are installing the tubing you have to make sure that it doesn't have any torsional force on it. All brands of tubing will slowly try to revert to their original shape.

Tygon does NOT leach plasticizer. It's laboratory quality and if it leaked chemicals into the liquid inside of it it would cause problems.
