Yes I have one 6 pin power connector, can I ask my monitor res is 1240 x 1024 which I dont mind ,I know it's now awesome but I dont really get money to buy a new one, anyway what type of performance increase will I see vs my GT240?
Getting there.

at that resolution, im not sure how noticeable it would be, but as soon as you got a new screen thats 1080p the difference would be Huge.

What do you mean, will the screen look better if I stick with my GT240, and buy a new monitor instead?
Getting there.

Its hard to say really, at such a low res... it becomes more CPU dependent. You would see a bigger performance increase at a higher res. You would be looking at around 1.5-2x the performance.

well yes, for general use, but if you were to buy a new screen and stick with the gt240 and start gaming, the gt240 would hit its limitations, to the point that id doubt you'd enjoy it with low settings

Whereas with a 450 you could game at that low resolution with equal/better fps than the gt240, and still be futureproof when you got the new screen, and enjoy all your settings near maxed ( i say near maxed due to games like crysis 2 )

i personally would get a new card, especially if your budget is £80 as a new nice screen would set you back 120-150ish. Then from there i would work on overhauling the screen and/or a new cpu+mobo+ram and maybe a psu.

This..

Don't waste money on a new motherboard just to get DDR3... Not worth it unless a CPU upgrade is done also.
