my high school has 13-14 of those things, i used one in a electrical engineering class there i learned all about ohms, resisters, P I E and R, how to test voltages, i believe ripple was mentioned quite a lot, as well as peek and min voltage, heck, 90% of the time in that class was spent measuring voltage, playing with resistors(we had some heavy duty ones too) and looking at the waves on the oscilloscope, i asked a lot of questions, and there was time spent on waves as well, there was a soldering part too, which is why i got a D in that class, soldering makes me speepy, i can't pay good attention when i am sleepy
wait a minute..... there was only 1 full o-scope there, i can't remember what the smaller ones were but they had waves as well
Don't inhale the solder fumes! They make you verrryy.....sleeeeeepppyyyy....zzzzzzzz.
They're not toxic though.
