Antec vs. Seasonic? - Page 2

Seasonic is the OEM. They make power supplies for other companies that don't have the resources/capability/interest to make their own PSUs.

Antec buys Seasonic's power supplies and then relabels them as their own.

There might be some slight differences in component selection, (depending on which price point Antec is trying to hit), but otherwise, they are exactly the same design.

If you have access to Newegg.com, the Antec NeoECO 400C is the same as the High Current Gamer 400W, just a cheaper case, etc.

If you live in Canada, NCIX now carries them as well but I think only in the 450W version...

With any brand, you need to read the reviews and look at the testing done to know if its good or not. But yea I will agree I've heard of problems on the low end OCZ stock. I linked to a quality cheap PSU. Even Antec, Corsair and SS can make a crappy PSU, no1 is perfect.

But thanks for pointing that out, as my comment seemed to make it sound like OCZ as a whole is good and any choice is fine.

$50 for 700w modular 80+ certified PSU. Can't go wrong:

I will never buy anything from OCZ every again...

I'm in Canada. We have the 450W version and I want that but no stock. NCIX won't have it on the shelves anytime soon.
