I explored the driver disk. There are drivers for 7, Vista, and XP, but none for Linux or FreeBSD as far as I can tell. Unless the 6770 has been added to the general driver suite for Linux and BSD then I doubt those OSs have support. But I can't confirm that.
There are XP, Vista, and 7 32/64 drivers for them. We normally do not post Linux drivers but since it was requested and they are not available on AMD's site yet I uploaded them as well.

Oh god, I think I know what happened.

When we first installed the card I told my step-dad to download drivers from AMD's site, because I wanted him to get into the habit of downloading drivers from AMD periodically, rather than using disk drivers forever. Needless to say, they didn't work.

Then we got into a shouting match and I left the room. He then tried the driver disk.

When running the install disk, it gets to a point where it asks if you want to GET THE LATEST DRIVERS NOW, or use the drivers on the disk. He must have clicked the first one. Which leads to an XFX registration page. That's where I walked into the room.

The rest follows from there.

God dammit.

So how does the 6770 perform relative to other AMD/Nvidia cards?

It's alright Phaedrus, your past good deeds with all your PSU device more then make up for it. Does this mean XFX is back on your recommended list?

If anyone ever has any issues with an XFX product please feel free to PM me.

I will try to keep active on the forum as I do my daily rounds but am always available by PM during the week. Please keep in mind that I am with the US support team so I can't do much with RMAs except in North America but am here for product support for anyone.
