I like the Asus better. Size by side the boards are very similar, the asus might oc better.

The asus has things that us lot would look for in a board like

the sata ports off to an angle so that the GPU can fit in.

An extra pci-e x16.

Both have a 3 year warranty.

I'd personally go for the Asus

It has more features than the MSI board. It has 8 x on-board USB vs 4 x on-board USB on the MSI. Also has bluetooth support and also has 2 additional SATA6 ports compared to the MSI and supports up to 2200MHz DDR3 vs 2133MHz (Not a bit difference but nice none the less)

So if you are willing to pay the extra, I'd got for the Asus board. Not to mention I personally think Asus boards are much better quality than MSI boards

what would i use the extra x16 for... what do you use pcix1 for.... sata ports off to the side is a great reason!

The x16 is for graphics cards, the pcix1, is for sound cards, network cards, and extra usb ports among other things.

I have a sound card in my pci-e x1, i would get one too, that realtec will be crap

and you could put a pci-e x4 SSD in the bottom one.
