Not a bad choice!
For the same/lower price though you could go SFF and save some desk space among other things, if you are not concerned about build expandability.

This case wouldn't cause any heating issue would it and work with the card I posted? I don't think expandability is an issue, once this computer is up and running they will never touch it.

With a 95W processor TDP or below it is not a problem. I keep a 95W Athlon II x4 in an Antec Minuet case (a direct variant of that - but mine is the old variant, there aren't even any vent holes above the CPU fan at all) and the stock cooler keeps it at bay with a max load temp of around 50C. Assuming you have no plans to OC or anything, you win; even then you'd have the big advantage of vent-holes right above the CPU cooler.

if you look around you can get a used amd phenom + motherboard for a good price

I got my phenom II 940 + msi platinum for $110
