Help me decide on a mobo and case ($1500ish i5-2500k build)

Thread Starter
I have posted a thread asking to crit my build yesterday.
And I was taking advices and revising my build here and there.
But, I don't know which mobo to go with!
And a case for it.

This is my build:

CPU: i5-2500k (http://www.memoryexpress.com/Product...31557(ME).aspx) $219.99
GPU: HiS Radeon HD 6950 2gb (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-355-_-Product) $264.99
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-428-_-Product) $95.99
PSU: CM GX 750W 80+ (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-053-_-Product) $109.99
CPU cooler: Tuniq Tower 120 (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-001-_-Product) $49.99
Primary Drive: OCZ Vertex 2 SSD 60gb x2 (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-550-_-Product) $119.00x2
Storage Drive: Samsung F3 1TB (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-185-_-Product) $74.99

Total without mobo and case: (including tax in CAD): $1106.64
So, I have roughly $300~400 to spend on mobo and the case.

For Mobo, I was thinking something like this: GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD3-B3 LGA (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-476-_-Product) $124.99

For case, I was gonna get this: Coolermaster HAF X (http://www.bestdirect.ca/products/22.../COOLERMASTER/) $167.20
But then people were telling me to save money on case and go for a midtower one or something.

Note: I have 2 USB 3.0 external drives. I'd like to make a use out of them.

Help me please!

I vote for the HAF 932. Its the one I have and LOVE IT...If you are going to aftermarket air cool, it has PLENTY of room for any heatsink you can think of throwing on it. And I personally think its sexy as hell.

HAF 932

It also has screw holes on the top to mount a rad to it for watercooling.. AND awesome cable management.

Edit:
Not sure the exact diff between the HAF X and the 932, however the 932 I have is all black on the inside so it makes it look a ton cleaner.

if you have a micro center near you, I would start there. They had the i5 2500k for 180, along with 1tb sata 3 hdd for 20 packaged with it. They didnt have everything i wanted (no hyper 212+ cooler ), but most of the stuff they did was cheap!

You want the P67X-UD3-B3 if you get a UD3 and have any inkling to CF that 6950 down the road. All the other UD3s have 16x/4x and some take bandwidth from the pcie x1 slot to crossfire. The P67X-UD3-B3 is the most expensive UD3 but is 8x/8x in CF.

For gigabyte you could also consider stepping up to the ud4.

Another good p67 board for the price is the asrock extreme 4 which does 8x / 8x cf

CF 6950s would be a good upgrade path graphics wise, which is why I recommend a motherboard with the bandwidth to properly support it now, especially in the price range of this build.

edit: oops i linked newegg.com sites instead of newegg.ca
