Hey guys will textures look blurry on Dell U2711? I wanna buy the 27 now because U2311H sucks and I can't stand black lines on the 24's.

EDIT: will 27 hurt my eyes? I'm pretty used to 13 and 23 inch.

It should not hurt at all

Look at these comparisons

http://www.displaywars.com/23-inch-16x9-vs-27-inch-16x9

That is 23 inch 16:9 vs 27" one.

This one is 24" 16:10 vs 27" 16:9

It should not be too big, as you see.

So I'm gonna be stuck with vsync off I guess haha. Technically though I didn't buy this monitor for shooters, I bought it for all the other games I play, and it does make a difference. I can use my XL2410T for shooters because apparently I'm just extra sensitive to that stuff.

Textures don't look blurry on the U2711, they look very crisp, but some textures feel stretched a bit. It's VERY noticeable in some games, but not so much in others. Dragon Age 2 is a particularly bad culprit here.

Also, the 27 doesn't hurt your eyes but it does take some getting used to. Honestly it is a bit too wide for my liking, but it might grow on me. The black depth on the U2711 really is quite good though. Possibly the best I've seen in an IPS yet.
