Free bump. Unfortunately I do not have an answer, but I can tell you that I had the same exact problem in XP. What worked for me is re plugging it while it boots up. Sometimes it would work the first try, sometimes it would take like 5 tries. No idea why

I would use the mouse with the on-screen keyboard to get past the login screen, install/uninstall/reinstall the G15 drivers as needed, see if that fixes it.

Out of curiosity, does the keyboard work if you plug it out and plug it back in again at the log in screen? This seems to be an issue with some USB peripherals and 64-bit Windows 7.

No, it only works on the front 2 USB, the whole back side doesn't allow it work

Also it might be an issue with your USB chipset driver (ie. need more info on your mobo make and model, etc).

Windows 7 keeps trying to update my Sandy Bridge P8P67 NEC USB 3.0 driver with the wrong one. Stupid Microsoft.

try re installing your mobo drivers if only your back panel usb is not working sounds like a usb controller issue

Use a PS2 keyboard to logon, then your USB keyboard will be installed.
