OCZ Vertex 3 120GB Slow Write Speeds

Thread Starter
Hi,

Installed and after a couple of benchmark tests why are my write speeds so slow:

Latest Intel P67 chipset drivers installed and Intel Rapid Storage are installed.

Ran the Atto Disk Benchmark and Crystal Disk mark tests

are you using SATA II (3gbps) or III (6gpbs)?

is the SSD filled up or just a fresh install?
is TRIM and other stuff on?

You said that you are connected to the intel connector, but the Marvell controller's are synonymous with slow write speeds. I'd just double check.

Yep its definatly connected to the Intel SATA3 6gb connector. Im also using the SATA3 cable that came with the mobo.

Intel Rapid storage also acknowledges its running at 6gb

Do you have it set to AHCI in the BIOS? What version of the BIOS are you running?

Its definatly connected to the intel P67 SATA3 connector and within the BIOS the drive is set to AHCI.

The BIOS im using is the latest 1503.

Have no idea do you think it would be worthwhile erasing the SSD then checking.

According to OCZ the drive is fine they said my ATTO Disk Benchmark results are fine.

They said something like Crystal Disk Benchmark uses uncompressable data sets
