hi, i was going to buy a EP45-UD3P for overclocking my quad q9550, ive herd they are very good ocing. I cant find any anywhere but i could find the GA-EP45T-UD3LR, would this be just as good for the job? thanks, rob

The GA-EP45T-UD3LR should be able to push that Q9550 to 3.8 - 4GHz + with a good aircooler.

All the EP45 boards have advanced GTL tuning needed for stability past 460FSB with Quads. 3.8 - 3.9GHz should be pretty easy.

UD3LR would push Q9550 to 4GHz easily if you know how..

The difference between UD3R and UD3LR is in lesser heatsink on mosfets/NB and 4pin CPU power connector..

Everything else is pretty much he same..

CHEERS..

No you would not be able to do SLI or CF as UD3LR has only one PCIe x16 slot for graphic card (just like UD3R has)..

UD3P has two PCIe x16 slots though and is capable of CF or SLI (via hack)..
