Slow FPS in WoW - Page 3

Check your video card usage and clocks.

Sometimes mine fall back to 2D clocks becuase the game is nothing for the cards, and when it falls back to 2D clocks same problems as you have start.

To keep it constantly in 3D clocks all you have to do is DISABLE Vsync and DISABLE max foreground fps.

Also be sure you didnt had the max foreground fps option to a to low setting.

Would figure my sigrig would be able to handle a game like WoW on full blast in everything.
Well your PC is well waaaay above the requirements to run WoW. Something as little as view distance shouldn't even touch a 580. I built a rig for a friend that still has his GTX 260 in it and it can max all of WoW and run it smoothly. There is an underlying problem to it.
I'm just wondering that you might be running a mod thats causing errors and your frame rate to drop?
And yeah I also doubt it's spyware or malware, with that he probably wouldn't be able to run WoW.
However if I were you, I would just bite the bullet and do a fresh reinstall (from BNET, not your discs) because you might have a messed up *** or graphics folder.

What is your internet speed? Most company says high speed is anything above 768k, which 768k is not fast enough to really play WOW. Need atless 1.5m to play WOW or most games with good FPS.

Its either your bandwidth or drivers.
I also had an issue like this, when I was viewing youtube videos and playing WoW it would drop my frames down considerably, I had to turn hardware acceleration off and boom I could play youtube videos and like always WoW stays locked and maxed at 60FPS.

Gave it a shot, no dice. FPS drop was maybe 3-4 fps better, but still very bad.

That 1gb/s is the connection between your router and your computer, not your actual internet speed.

You can test your internet speed at speedtest.net or http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/.

what add-ons do u use?
QuestHelper was causing problems to my wow. It wouldn't go over 10 fps, despite lowering the settings. Removed it and now runs smooth at ultra.
Maybe there is an add-on that caused it to ur game. Try disabling them one by one.
