Hey,

Friend has a C2D E7400 CPU and is going to get a GTX560

Will the Corsair CX500 do the job, it should I think.

I would read the reviews on NewEgg prior to purchasing. I just got one and it has a hell of a whine, which may or may not be transferring to a similar whine I'm hearing in my audio out jacks. Just something to keep in my mind.

Please don't read the Newegg reviews for any legitimate input. I only look at them if they are all 1star...because then there might be a serious issue. But don't be discouraged if they are only 3-star perhaps.

Why not? I should have paid more attention, otherwise perhaps I wouldn't be RMA'ing this otherwise fine power supply. A number of them have the exact same issue as I am having. Fine power supply if you're deaf.

A rig with E7400 and GTX560 will only pull 350-400 full extreme TDP. The 500CX is more than fine
