Urgent! Which of these SSDs should I buy?

Hello guys,

I really need you assistance- which of these drives should I buy and why?

I have to buy today because the 10% off promo code ends today and I am in the utmost confusion. I wanted vertex2 but read here that people are not satisfied with the 25nm version, and also many reported the failure after a few months. What is important to me is reliability (next to speed), since I am from Serbia and someone is bringing one SSD from US. I am keen on the sniper one, is it 25nm or 3x ?

Thank you

I'd still grab the Vertex 2. Is that model even 25nm ?

The one listed here is 25nm. I have read a lot, and many people complain on the low speeds (much lower than vertex 2 34nm), and also on the durability. They fail much more (as I read from user reviews), so I am afraid to buy one. There is on newegg vertex 3 34nm, but it is $23 more expensive, I think that is not fair. I am leaning towards the G.Skill Sniper, so I would really like to hear your opinions and experiences.

Any chance you could find the Vertex 2 34nm ?

If the Vertex 3 is only $23 more, I'd go for that one. That is, if you own a SATA III port.

I am sorry, I mistyped the ssd name above, I was referring to the vertex 2 34nm, not 3. Vertex 3 is 300$ and out of stock (not that I have 300$). And it is outrageous to pay 23$ more for the same drive..that's why I would buy sniper, but I cannot find any review, and I do not know if it's 25nm or 3x nm

Well, as I see it, the 34nm is quite "trusted". So I would still go for that one.

I heard G.Skill makes decent SSD's, but I would be more happy with the Vertex 2.

Considered the Revodrive ? PCI-E x4. Not sure about it's pricing though.

Revo is 33-40ish bucks more and my m4a87td/usb3 has no pciex 4x anyway, also I am very limited on this 210$ dollar price range with coupon (I sent money from Serbia so that's about it). Vertex 2 was my No1 choice, but since the failure rate is so high, I am having doubts whether I should buy it. Furthermore, I will not pay 23$ more for the same product only in 34nm, I'd rather go for the Sniper- users on newegg reported speeds almost as advertised (or those user-reviews are actually fake?).

Well, I wouldn't consider them fake, but not that reliable sources, since the authors of those "reviews" are just general consumers.
However, I vote for the A-DATA. Their SSD's shouldn't be so bad, actually.

Ok, thanks for your opinion. I'll wait few more hours to see if someone else stops by, then I will see whether it will be Sniper or something else.
