Win 7 x64 multi-monitor setup switching to "basic" visual

Heya,

So I've had this irritating problem for a while. I run 4 displays off this machine from the motherboard's iGPU (1x display) and from the HD5850 (3x display). The machine has 8Gb memory, SSD, etc. Everything is fine, except sometimes during a movie playback like via Netflix or an AVI/ISO (DVD) on one of the displays, Windows will shift to Basic Visuals instead of Aero.

Any idea how to prevent this? Or at least what is causing it? I would think the system has enough memory to handle it. But maybe it's video memory that is the culprit? 1Gb is not enough? Any tips for settings in Windows to solve this?

Would love to prevent Win 7 from being able to switch my visual settings without my consent/approval.

Very best,

I don't think it's sys memory that would cause this but the PC's GPU.

After a few times of it telling you that it's changed to basic visuals, it'll give you the option to hide these messages.

I'm sure there are other ways to disable them, but it's the easiest
