I can't seem to get my Aquaero 5 to show up in Aquasuite 2012. The Aquaero itself is working, and I have it connected via USB, but it doesn't seem to be showing up in Aquasuite.

Are you using the Beta 3?

If you own the XT variant: press the button with the double-boxes above the large d-pad with the green frame to change the IR mode to computer. When you press something on the keyboard now, does the PC respond? If so we can say the USB connection seems to be fine and the problem is caused by the aquasuite.

It's a Pro, and I'm using Beta 3. When I booted after connecting it, new USB devices were recognized which I assume to be the Aquaero. What does it show up as under the device manager?

Oh wait, I just noticed something. The PA2 is a USB 1.1 device, and I have the Aquaero plugged in with the cable that came with it. Is the cable included with the PA2 a USB 1.1 only cable?

Well, I got my loop up and running last night. The A5 works great. There's just a few things I either don't understand or I just don't like.

I can't get the flow-meter info off the A5 screen. i don't have a flow meter, and don't want the info on the screen. Also, Fans 1&2 disappeard from the screen, while fans 3&4 show up.

Hopefully I can correct some of this once I get done leak testing and get my motherboard and such back into the case.

you can edit the screens in "User Interface => Information Pages"

but if I remember correctly the strange thing is that page 1 will be "Aquaero Info" (with the uptime, firmware and so on) , whereas pressing 1 on my remote would bring up the Fan #1 screen

anyway you can configure up to 32 pages there with a decent amount of choice ...

having a remote can be handy if you want to edit them all mine worked only half the time until I put in some brand-name batteries instead of the Chinese ones that came with it, now it works flawlessly

I did actually try that (I bought a remote for my A5 Pro) and went and did several pages. But again, can't find out how to remove the flow meter info, and can't figure out how or why the pages for Fan 1 and Fan 2 are gone... but 3 and 4 are still there (these are the 1 fan per page screens on the A5, not the 1-4 view).

I've only changed out the info on some screens to the info I did want, but basically in default it's like

*10 pages activated (general info, time & date, temperatures, fan 1, fan 2, fan 3, fan 4, flow, power/relay, chart1) *hope I have correct order there doing it from memory*

-you can disable a page by selecting "Screen Mode-> Hide Page" , which you can use to remove the flow info
--you can also just edit flow info page to something else if you'd like

-you probably used the hide page settings as well on the fan 1 & fan 2 pages?

Hmmmmm. Ya know, you might be right. I'm about to head home so I'll give it a check. Thanks for the info, I didn't know the pages were set up that deep. +Rep!

thanks

yeah there's a mind boggling amount of stuff that can be adjusted on these babies ... takes some time before you discover all the possibilities and understand the logic behind it

I'm not using the software right now as it's only really useful for basic fan control/settings at the moment, it needs some time to mature and get the other features as well. (even worse, I kinda suspects it resets some of the settings on my other not yet supported devices like the pump, RGB output and the relay output, the latter resulting in my power supply cutting the power lol)

With the remote configuring has become somewhat easier anyway

only real issue I need to look into is with the "emergency action" I programmed:
my power has been cut twice *instantly* because of a flowmeter alert, but on reboot the pump/flow was working without issue -> I configured it with a 15 second timeout, so I suppose there might be a firmware bug somewhere? haven't had the time to look into it yet

other than that it's just really cool to see 15 fans being controlled by the 6 sensors I have attached
