BUT AHA! AQUAERO 5 IS HERE! *edited title for update! - Page 12

Well, I got the flowmeter info off the front, but now I can't get the relay info off the front and I went to the 15th page. GAH!

Also, the PWM fan port doesn't control PWM fans... Not sure what's up with that. It doesn't reduce their speed whatsoever.

As for the software, I didn't see any use for it, although I was looking at it at midnight after I got everything installed back into the system... maybe my USB isn't plugged in correctly...

For the PWM FAN i remeber there is a setting on the FAN4 menu to be done to actually tell A5 that you connected a PWM Fan...you did that right ?

relay page: Wasn't that on page 9 by default? It's the page with "Information To Be Shown -> Common Data -> Power and Relay" selected, but good luck going through all 10 pages

PWM fan port settings: go to "Outputs->Fan->Channel 4->Control mode->" and select "PWM-Regulated" instead of power/rpm regulated

be careful with plugging in the usb! sticker on the back of the aquero shows the color of the pins, just look at some case USB header on your motherboard to decide how the other end should be connected. Connecting it the wrong way around could short out some stuff I guess?

looks like it is short protected as i initially had it reversed (even i was sure it was the right orientation after checked pin 1)...
it just won't power up but doesn't burn itself...(not worth the test)

I don't think that this will be your problem. Well, there is a handful of other people with the same problem so I hope we will be able to find the reason and fix it.

You can disable the flow status in the overview screens. I recommend to do that with the aquasuite 2012 because directly through the device that is a little nightmare

In the aquasite you will find a tab for the overview pages. Looks like that:

Just click on the red X on the flow sensor screen on the right site. If you want to add any other screens: drag and drop them from the left to the right.

With the numbers you access the four short cuts. Their default assignment are fan 1, 2, 3 and 4 You can change that in the user interface and assign other actions to these keys.

We did our homework and other than the aquaero 4 the new one should normally survive a reverse polarity on the USB. If you want to give it a try you can even do a short cut on the fan ports. They have a short circuit detection.

I guess my USB wasn't in tight enough to my motherboard header, I fixed that when I got home after work, now the software sees my A5. Been monkeying around with the settings and pages... too much fun!

As for the fans, I used a PWM splitter for the three radiator fans, and could not get them to adjust speed at all, just sitting at 100% no matter what I tried, so I plugged them in individually and now I can control them all.

Hey Shoggy, any idea when the graphic equalizer for music will be integrated?

The LCD Hype Plugin might be ready in around 3 weeks.

Odd, all of my datalogs forget their interval settings after a while. I don't know how to reproduce it, but they simply forget about the intervals and default them to "Off" when they should be set to "2 Seconds."

EDIT: Was able to reproduce the issue. Anytime I changed the fan speeds, the Datalogs would then default back to "off" with their intervals. This happened both on the unit and in the AS2012 software.

Also, can't get the Synchronize time to work from the AS2012 to bump the time to whatever current time it is (even though AS2012 shows the correct time, the Aquero5 won't after boot-up). I even tried moving the Aquaero time update applciation to my start folder and it keeps giving a bad time.

Thanks for the feedback, I have forwarded that to our programmer.

Will the regular AE5 Pro be able to handle flowmeter + 6 fans?

or

Pump + Flowmeter + 6 fans?
