Phos, are you able to upgrade the firmware? Or is that when the error happens?
I had the same error, and on mine it showed two listings named 'aquaero 5' so I deleted the one with the little red error icon beside it, and it worked perfectly from that point on.

Hi Shoggy,

I'm thinking of purchasing the Aquacomputer Aquaero 5 (probably the LT version) for my next build, and would appreciate your advice on the best combination of components to purchase.

I am planning to go with the Swiftech MCP-35X pump so that I can take advantage of the PWM control via the Aquaero 5. In addition to the pump I would like to control upto 6 sets of three Gentle Typoon fans and a single exhaust fan. I will also be adding a temp sensor, flow rate sensor and the passive heatsink.

I'm assuming that this would be too much load for a single Aquaero 5 to take, and that I would need to add several additional PowerAdjust 2 components. However, as the Aquaero 5 LT costs £53 and each PowerAdjust 2 costs £32, it would appear to be much more cost efficient for me to purcahse a second Aquaero 5 LT rather than several PowerAdjust 2s.

Using the AquaSuite software would running two Aquaero 5 LT cause and issues and would the all of the components be visible in a single screen irrespective of which Aquaero 5 LT they were connected to?

Secondly, would I need to link the two Aquaero 5 LTs together using the AquaBus, or do they both just need to be connected to the USB headers?

Finally, assuming that there is no issue with using two Aquaero 5 LTs would this be the best way to connect up all of my components:

Aquaero 5 LT #1
Fan 1: 3 x Gentle Typoon fans
Fan 2: 3 x Gentle Typoon fans
Fan 3: 1 x Gentle Typoon fan
Fan 4: Swiftech MCP-35X (PWM)

Aquaero 5 LT #2
Fan 1: 3 x Gentle Typoon fans
Fan 2: 3 x Gentle Typoon fans
Fan 3: 3 x Gentle Typoon fans
Fan 4: 3 x Gentle Typoon fans

Best wishes and thank you in advance for your assistance.

James

Hi guys. Noop with a question.

1. Looks like the different between the pro and the xt version is the xt comes with a heatsink and touch screen(head unit).
If this is true the pro w/water block can do everything the xt can. (plan to buy remote if I get pro version)

These are the list of items I want to control. Can it be done?

2x koolance 450(d5 var speed) pumps
9 or 10 fans on rad (ap-15)
Aquaero flow meter
Two inline flow meters

I have 6 addition fans left in my case labs t10 case but will control them off the mother board. I thought about adding a power adjust so I could control all the fans but want to know if I could do the above stuff on the aquaero 5 first.

Xnine: thanks for the recommendation on the case lab case. I am loving it.

Hey buddy, sorry I didn't see this sooner.

Yes, everything you're looking to do should be just fine. I bought the A5 Pro as well, with the waterblock and remote just simply because I liked the looks.

The waterblock makes a HUGE difference on the temps of the A5 unit, so good call getting that.

Two things I would like to warn you about:
1. The Aquacomputer fill level meter is G 1/8 threads, you'll have to buy an adapter if you plan on using one.
2. The A5's waterblock WILL NOT fit compressions. The ports are too close, so you'll have to use barbs.

Thanks man for the information. I will be ordering in a week or so, checking out a few other things just so I can make one order to save on shipping. Also thanks for the heads up on the 1 and 2.
