I figured that's where you got it from. I don't need the Aquatube reservoir, but trying to piece together all the components and add ons I may want. Aquatuning info is not 100% clear on everything, but I'm used to dealing with German components already, LOL

Interesting.

I ordered mine on 4/10. Try emailing them and asking. I did however order 300 bucks worth of stuff from them so maybe they got one in and didn't want the rest of my order sitting there?

If it makes you feel any better, the box looked like it was water damaged... I'll be checking the A5 soon to make sure they didn't send me something they dropped in a bathtub. Everything else came in boxes that looked nice and new. The box for the A5 looked like it had been sitting around since 1875 in a desert....

Nice! Lemme know how it turns out when it gets there. I swear to god if my unit is DOA I will start spitting fire!

Aside from the box that looked like hell, the unit itself actually looks like a solid piece of gear. Put together very well, no cheap-ass joints or soldering done. This might be one of the cleanest PCB's to have this much stuff on it, ever.

Finally mine too arrived...the Aquaero suite will come in the coming weeks though but you can configure it on device with remote or keys

IMG_0830.JPG

open up the relatively small box we find out what's inside...

IMG_0831.JPG

inside we have:
- Aquaero5 controller with tiny "manual"
- 4x temp sensors
- USB cable
- 4x skrews for bay mounting
- Aquabus (if you have other devices to connect
- remote (IR)

IMG_0832.JPG

the back of the device is liteally full of headers...more later on
IMG_0833.JPG

it has a heatspreader an back of the VRM modules
IMG_0843.JPG

mechanically sturdy, made of three PCB sandwitch (GUI, Server card, Connectors)
IMG_0855.JPG

Main headers are:

- StandBy power header (2P)
IMG_0836.JPG

- 4x FAN Channels (3x3P + 1x4P with PWM (optional)) - max 5A in total
IMG_0838.JPG

- 2x PWM output 12v 16KHz signal to control power (max 1A)
IMG_0839.JPG

- 8x sensor headers (2P)
IMG_0840.JPG

- Buzzer (alerts) Aquabus, Tacho etc..
IMG_0841.JPG

It comes at stock with a silver faceplate, that is replaceable. Black is option that you can exchange, as i did

IMG_0845.JPG

IMG_0847.JPG

you have to unskrew the faceplate (mind that the skrew also hold the bay mount wings)

IMG_0848.JPG

at the right side we have the PCB to PCB connector
IMG_0849.JPG

and at the left the IR receiver
IMG_0850.JPG

changing faceplate is really easy while you need to do it without a rush to keep things at their place
IMG_0853.JPG

IMG_0854.JPG

let's sleeve the USB cable indeed...biggrin.gif

the connector is easily removed so the sleeeve can slide over the cable
IMG_0856.JPG

IMG_0858.JPG

connector back in place, heatsring applied and done
Mind if u use a heatgun for the heatshring to cover the connector with some tape (that u remove after) cse those headers are made of chocolate and they MELT DOWN very easily! eek.gif

i had prepared all the cables for the A5 and tagged them since those were almost a forest...
IMG_0860.JPG

so far (i'm not done) i have sensors (you know those ae yellow if u read all posts...biggrin.gif) includin flowmeter
IMG_0861.JPG

and Fan headers
IMG_0862.JPG

so let's power this thing up and see... (i recognized i had exchanged two pins of the flowmeter cable the 5V and the signal infact...that made A5 a bit crazy at start eek.gif ...but no pain to it ...luky me)

IMG_0865.JPG

water il flowing...good biggrin.gif i'm around one liter per minute (Laing D5 pums are set on tag 3)
IMG_0866.JPG

the ambient temperature and one of the RAD temp sensors (the 1.5 deg perhaps is due to the pumps themself injecting heat in the flow)
