What a pain in the ass.

Yeah, accept no one other than Aquacomputer sells them. So, I found a similar fitting on FrozencPU. Bleh. Hopefully it works. If not, I'll just put the tube meter in a glass of water and make it look pretty.

Does it work correctly also on other reservoirs (e.g. the EK blocks Clear Tube) i mean or the reading will be "upside down" i mean i think it is supposed to be mounted at the bottom or res, correct ?

I'm asking as i initially thought to use one myself but i went away from it becose of the above consideration

cheers

According to the website it senses automagically how the reservoir is mounted. So if it's horizontal it will take that into consideration. I'm sure you could use it on other Reservoirs, but it's really intended only for the AquaComputer lineup.

Just kinda pisses me off that they wouldn't include that fitting WITH the tubemeter, ya know? Not only do you have to buy the tubemeter, but if you want to plug it in to a Aquabus port on your Aquaero you have to buy a separate cable, and if you want to mount it on the new Aquatubes, you have to buy an adapter fitting.

At that price with shipping, you're looking at about 55 US dollars, just for a level sensor.

I understand that AquaComputer isn't a huge company say like Antec or Cooler Master and they do have some insanely nice products, but it's small things they charge ontop of what you're buying that should come with the product.

Another example: The Aquaero unit. It doesn't come with any Relay connectors, so you have to buy those separate. It only comes with a silver faceplate, so that's another 12 bucks just for the faceplate. Want an indicator LED? 8 bucks for the USB version.

I dunno. Maybe I'm just being dramatic, but for the 1K I've spent on watercooling, I expected to have much more gear....

yeah i see where u come from man
agree on the meter that's a shame

on the A5 i understand the pricing "strategy" behind but at least folks @AC why don't u sell out a COMPLETE bundle so people gonna save some money and get all needed stuff at once...

other example to follow same logic is the AC high flow filter; you can have a led beneith it but you need a G1/8 lighting module (1EU man!) ...so bottom line i waiter 2 monthes (never ava) and ended up to buy a coverter G1/8 to G1/4 and a G1/4 light module all this because the 1 EU crap was not inside since start !

I haven't read through this whole thread so maybe this question has already been answered. The Aquaero 5 XT has so many features, I've been wondering what sort of setup would you need to take full advantage of all of its features?

yes but be careful as it ERASES all settings u did before (i mean as i did ...crap!) and it is fairly basic indeed so far (curve controller is not supported)
It also comes with FW 1011 for the A5
