Help! SR-2 shorting out.. - Page 3

lights on the pci-e lanes are a good thing. All 7 will light up when you plug in the extra power cable. your best bet here is to run everything dry, (so no water cooling), disable one cpu with the header on top, and only use one stick of ram for that respective cpu. From there see what happens.

I would definitely reseat the cpus, and if all fails rma with evga. If you've registered with evga, you can do an insanely fast rma with them because you have an sr-2.

Hey guys..

So some followup:

I called EVGA again and explained what was going on w/ the board. The rep was pretty cool about it and said it sounded like I had done my research (thanks to you all) and he would process an RMA for me.

Currently boxing it back up and will ship it out this evening. I'm hoping to have a replacement by next week sometime.

Thanks again for all your help.. I've read through a lot of the guides you have put out (Juggalo & Martin - thanks especially to you guys) and am excited to get this build up and running.
