I need a sub for my av40s

I've been trying to find a nice little sub to compliment my m-audio av40s, i listen mainly to all things rock, I'm looking for a somewhat refined and punchy bass, I don't want just a Booom Booom booom. The BIC f-12 at 206$ Is the highest I can afford. I've been looking at the Polk Audio PSW10 but it being only an RMS of 50 concerns me and it's price of 89$ but it'd allow me to upgrade my soundcard. There's also this

. I'd look into the dayton sub-100 and 120 too if amazon gets them again. I honestly don't know how big my room is but the sub would be pretty much right under me as it's for my computer. I'm also looking into the lava subs the 10" is the most i can pay and they'll do free shipping and they'll cover the taxes and duties ro bring it into canada.

I have the PSW10 on the way. I can let you know how that one sounds. Amazon had it for 79.99 and free shipping, so I went for it.

What about the lava subs? They cost a bit more but free shipping to Canada and they cover the import fees and taxes. There's been the odd Dayton that has had the voice coils fall apart.
edit: 10" is probably the biggest i could fit.

I've done some measurements i could fit a 12" I could get dayton's 12" it's cheaper then the 10" lava, but do you think the dayton will be as good?
